IPL (INTENSE PULSED LIGHT) TREATMENTS

WHAT IS IPL?
We offer medical-grade IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments designed to safely and effectively improve a range of common skin concerns.

IPL is an advanced light-based technology that delivers controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light into the skin. Unlike lasers, which use a single wavelength, IPL emits multiple wavelengths of light. This allows it to target different areas of concern within the skin - primarily melanin (pigment) and hemoglobin (blood vessels).

When the light energy is absorbed by these targets, it is converted into heat. This process, known as selective photothermolysis, creates controlled thermal injury to the pigment or vessel. The body then naturally metabolises and removes the fragmented pigment or collapsed vessel over time. In addition to targeting pigmentation, IPL also stimulates fibroblast activity, encouraging collagen remodeling and improving overall skin texture and tone.
PIGMENTATION &
SUN DAMAGE
IPL is highly effective for treating pigmentation. If you are struggling with isolated areas of pigment, patchy sun damage etc then this targeted pigment and sun damage treatment is for you. The light energy selectively targets excess melanin within the skin. The pigment absorbs the light, heats up, and is broken down through selective photothermolysis. Over the 7-10 days post treatment, the pigment will darken before naturally flaking away as the skin renews.

This treatment is for areas of pigment, f you are looking for more widespread pigment correction or overall skin rejuvenation, our Illumifacial treatment may be more suitable - please see below for details on this.

ILLUMIFACIAL
The Illumifacial is our signature 4 Step skin rejuvenation treatment, designed to deliver comprehensive skin restoration in one treatment. This advanced treatment combines the resurfacing power of a chemical peel with the corrective technology of medical-grade IPL to address multiple skin concerns simultaneously.

The 4 Steps of the Illumifacial:

1. Deep Cleanse -
The skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove debris, oil and surface impurities.

2. Chemical Peel -
A medical grade chemical peel is aplied to gently exfoliate the superficial layers of the skin. The peel prepares the skin for more effective light absorption.

3. Medical Grade IPL -
Broad spectrum light energy is delivered across the full treatment area to target: pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone and broken capillaries. This stage works at a deeper dermal level to stimulate collagen production alongside treating areas of concern.

4. Active Skincare -
The treatment is finished with medical-grade skincare applied to calm, protect ands upport the skin barrier whilst enhancing results.

It is ideal for clients wanting more than a single-target treatment - offering full face brightening, clarity and collagen stimulation.
